Timeless Women, Enduring History:
The Feisty Deeds Anthologies
For historical fiction readers, the award-winning Feisty Deeds anthologies feature forty-eight stories (1470s–1960s) showing the universal struggles of women against adversity, proving that rigid rules and war are no match for a determined female mind.

Feisty Deeds II, Tales of Batches and Brews
Feisty Deeds II presents twenty-five tales spanning vast history and geography, focused on concoctions, remedies, and sustenance. From third-century Ireland to a WWII internment camp, women use cooking, medicine, and sometimes a dash of poison to protect and influence their challenging historical worlds. My short story "The Herring Girl" features young, impoverished fishmongers whose life is hard—and maintaining humanity even harder.

Together, the powerful historical accounts celebrate the enduring spirit of determined women. In this spirit, all sales proceeds from the anthologies are donated to a scholarship fund for aspiring women writers by the Women’s Fiction Writers Association.

Feisty Deeds, Historical Fictions of Daring Women
Feisty women spanning six centuries.

I’m one of 22 other women historical fiction authors who have stories in this wonderful short-story collection. It’s full of feisty, courageous, funny, magical stories of daring women.

My short story, “The Parisian Daughter,” takes place in Paris in 1898. The story is about a young socialite who struggles to please her influential father in the face of ugly truths. I loved exploring a story of a young woman coming into her own sense of how to live her life. The first sign of feistiness!

This book has been a labor of love. All proceeds go to the Women’s Fiction Writer Association Scholarship Fund to assist aspiring feisty authors eager to have their voices heard through publishing their stories.
